Today’s my birthday!! I wanted to write something special so I figured I’d take advantage of the occasion and do the Birthday Book Tag.
Count your birthday along your bookshelf and then subtract your birth month
#8 on my shelf is Our Dark Duet by Victoria Schwab. I haven’t read it yet but I’m really excited to. One day in the hopefully near future I’m going to binge all of her books!
If you could spend your birthday with any fictional character who would it be and why?
If I could spend my birthday with any fictional character, I would choose the lovely Nina Zenik from Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo. Not only is she an amazing friend to Inej, but she’s fun and adventurous. We could just go out and find exciting things to do, and of course she’d bring me to get the best waffles.
(Disclaimer: this is not my picture, you can find it online here.)
Find a book that takes place in the season you were born in
There are several great books that take place in summer, but for this question I’m going to go with Alex, Approximately by Jenn Bennett. I just started reading this one and I’m really enjoying it so far!
Find a book that is the color of your birthstone
My birthstone is a ruby and a book with red on the cover is A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas. This is the first book in yet another series that I want to read.
Pick a book set in a time period, world, or country you would like to have been born in
I really wish I could’ve been a teenager during the 1950s. From greasers to the birth of rock and roll, I feel like growing up in that atmosphere would have been amazing. In order to have been a teenager in the 1950s, I would have to have been born in around 1940. In The Notebook, Noah and Allie meet in 1940. I know it’s a cliche but The Notebook is one of my favorite stories. I would definitely choose that time period to be born in so that I could be old enough to cruise around in classic cars in the 50s 😉
Have you read any of the books I mentioned? When is your birthday? What time period or place would you like to have been born in?
I found this tag via Kyera’s Library. Thanks for reading!! 🙂
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LOVE!

I’m SO down!!! I’ve never done a buddy read before, it seems so fun cause it’s like a mini book club. It would be nice to scream about a book to a person rather than the void like I’ve been doing for years 😂❤️

Omg YAY 🙂 I’m doing my first one right now and it’s so fun. You’re totally right LOL! It’s so nice to be able to freak out about what’s happening with someone else ❤ Which book would you want to buddy read?

I feel like ACOTAR would be really interesting to buddy read because I have seen very polar opposite opinions on it!! 😊 Also I have some Morgan Matson, Becky Albertalli, and Christina Lauren on my TBR, idk if you’re into any of them too!

Yeah I agree, I think that would be a fun buddy read! I have all of Morgan Matson’s books and Leah on the Offbeat on my TBR so any of those or ACOTAR are fine with me 🙂 Which would you prefer?
