Disney Channel Halloween Movies Tag

Disney Channel Halloween Movies Tag.jpg

I was actually just looking at a list of all the Disney Channel Original Movies and reminiscing last night, so when I saw this tag I knew I had to do it. I found this tag on Siobhan’s blog. It’s lovely so please check it out!

Halloweentown | Where is your favorite place to go for Halloween or a place you want to go?

My favorite place to go for Halloween is without a doubt Salem, Massachusetts. Unfortunately I haven’t been there around Halloween in the past two or three years, but prior to that I used to go every October. I love everything about it: learning about the witches, everyone’s enthusiasm for the holiday, and the spooky atmosphere. There is no place like Salem when it comes to Halloween.

Under Wraps | What’s something that used to be scary to you, and then you realized it wasn’t just like the mummy in this movie?

I started watching horror movies at a very young age. Between watching Pennywise come out of the drain in the original IT and Samara coming out of the well in The Ring, I was always really terrified as a kid that if I pulled back the shower curtain, I’d find one of them in there LOL. Eventually I realized that I’d gone years without that happening (knock on wood haha), so I finally got over that fear.

Tower of Terror | What is the scariest place you’ve ever been?

I can’t think of a specific city that I found scary, but I once went to a haunted house in Canada and it was by far the scariest haunted walkthrough I’ve ever been to. It was completely dark except for small red dots of light that showed you where to go so I had no idea what was going on around me. At one point someone started up a chainsaw and I just ran for it haha.

Twitches | If you could be any supernatural creature, what would you be?

I’m torn between whether I’d want to be a witch or a vampire because I love them both. Witches have magical powers, but vampires never age and never have to sleep which means I could read 24/7 for eternity (which is my dream haha).

Don’t Look Under the Bed | Were you scared of monsters when you were a kid? When did it stop?

I was scared of monsters when I was a kid. I’m not sure when I stopped feeling that way, but I’d guess around the time I went to middle school. Even though I’m not scared of monsters anymore, sometimes after I watch horror movies, I am scared I’m going to see the characters from them sometimes.

Phantom of the Megaplex | Do you watch scary movies? If so, what is your favorite or the one you were most afraid of?

Thus far, I’ve probably made myself sound like a chicken. However, I’d like to think I’m somewhat brave haha, I love doing scary things even if they freak me out temporarily. I absolutely LOVE watching horror movies. They’re probably my favorite type of movie! I’ll try to keep this short because I could talk about them all day. The Sixth Sense is my favorite movie of all time, but even though it’s about ghosts, some people consider it to be a thriller. As far as actual “horror” movies, one that really stands out to me is Sinister. I thought that was the most unique horror movie to come out in a while and I really enjoyed it. I actually went to see it the night that Hurricane Sandy hit New Jersey, so I spent the next week after watching it without lights. That was… fun. LOL.

The Scream Team | Who would be on your dream team if you went on a ghost/supernatural creature hunt?

I would definitely take the Dregs with me on a ghost hunt. They’re such badasses. Jesper and Wylan might be a little scared, but the rest would definitely make me feel more brave.

Mom’s Got a Date with a Vampire | Have you ever witnessed something/someone that could only be explained by the paranormal? If yes, what/who?

I know people who swear they’ve seen ghosts, but I’ve never experienced anything like that myself.

  1. Canada represent!! I am so proud that we got those terrifying haunted houses, haha. Also… how did I never consider that a vampire’s ability to not sleep would give me all the extra reading time? I need to reconsider my own answers now…

Thanks for doing this tag! I loved reading your answers 😀

    1. Hahaha seriously! I’ve been to a lot of haunted houses and that was by far the most terrifying! Lol I’m glad someone agrees 😉 That’s one of the many awesome things about vampires.

Of course! Thanks for creating such a cool tag, I had a great time doing it! 🙂 Thank you! ❤

    1. It was so scary, plus I can’t say a lot to avoid spoilers but the plot of the movie has something to do with families so that made it even worse 😭Haha thank you but I’m sure that’s not true! We’re all brave in different ways 🙂

  2. Twinning cause we posted this on the same day 😂 thank you for the tag though ❤️❤️ I had the same shower curtain fear… And a fear that someone was gonna come up from the toilet like in the Spice Girls movie LOL🤦🏻‍♀️ where was the haunted house you went through in Canada?! I feel like I watched Sinister in theatre! And by ‘watched’ I mean kept my head facing straight and positioned my eyes to the ground so I looked braver than I was 😂

    1. Omg no way! I didn’t see that you posted it 😭😂Of course though! ❤❤ Omg I’ve never seen that! Was it scary or was that just one part of it? I’m pretty sure the haunted house was in Ontario near Niagara Falls! LOL even sitting through Sinister is brave, it was very scary! 😂

      1. It wasn’t scary, but there was this random part where someone tried to sneak into their mansion through the toilet + there were aliens in like their backyard or something… you need to watch it 😂😭 ohhh I have heard of one near there!!! I wonder if it’s the same one. And yeah I’m very proud of myself LOL 💁😁

      2. LOL that sounds so interesting! I’ll try to watch it! 🙂 It would be so funny if we were thinking of the same one! I just tried looking it up but the one I went to didn’t come up in the first few links. I’m pretty sure I would recognize it if I saw a picture of it so I’ll let you know if I find out the name! And you should be! 😉

    1. It was so much fun to do! Please consider yourself tagged if you’re interested in doing it 🙂 Oh no, that’s terrifying! My mom had to do the same haha. Even though I know that now, I still hate when they bring out chainsaws during haunted walkthroughs because it reminds me of how scared I was the original time!

  3. Ooh fun tag! I love Disney Channel movies. I actually watched the first two Halloweentown movies a couple weeks ago; granted, the first one is still the best. LOL Some of these I haven’t seen in years though. I used to be much more scared of scary movies and books, but I’ve gotten a lot better as I got older. haha

  4. I am way too much of a wimp for scary movies! I just can’t do it. Literally Stranger Things freaks me out when I’m walking my dog in the dark so if I watched proper horror I don’t think I’d ever go out again!

I have quite a few witchy friends though, so that side of things I’m really interested in. It is such a fascinating a sad history.

    1. Haha aw that’s understandable! It’s definitely better to not watch them in that case!

It is really sad to think about how innocent people were persecuted for being who they were and although it’s not called witchcraft anymore, it still happens today 😦 That being said, it’s also really interesting and I always love learning more about it!

  5. Omigosh, Salemmmmmmmmmmmm. I didn’t even think about that for Halloween, but that sounds amazing. Most definitely a new place to add to my list of where I want to go for Halloween. And omigosh, the Dregs would be amazingggggg on a ghost/monster hunt. I would definitely be afraid for those monsters – and it would be so entertaining along the way. I loved reading your answers, and thanks so much for doing the tag! ❤
