End of the Year Book Tag

2018.jpeg

Merry Blogmas everyone! ❤ I’m so excited to be writing my first 12 Days of Blogmas post! I’m also so excited because I finished my finals yesterday so I can finally relax and READ 😍 I never finish as many books as I hope to over breaks, but I’m really planning on reading as much as I can over the next month or so. As 2018 is coming to an end, there are a few books that I started throughout the year and haven’t finished yet. So in honor of 2018 wrapping up, I’m going to talk about those books and a few other topics in the End of the Year Book Tag! I was tagged by Siobhan. Please check out her blog, it is so lovely!! 🙂

Are there any books you started this year that you need to finish?

The reason I haven’t finished these three books is not because I’m not enjoying them. In fact, I really love the parts of these three books that I’ve read. They’re all sequels to some of my favorite books that I’ve read this year and I can’t wait to see what happens in them. The reasons I never finished them were either that school got so busy while I was reading them or I took a break from reading them to read an ARC by a certain date and forgot to pick them back up. I’m hoping to finish these by the end of the month and I’m really looking forward to finding out what happens in them!

Do you have an autumnal book to transition into the end of the year?

Not particularly. Like Siobhan, I’m a mood reader, so I tend to read whatever I’m feeling interested in at the time.

Is there a new release that you’re still waiting for?

evermore

I’m so excited for Evermore by Sara Holland! I really liked the first book, Everless, and it ended on a major huge cliffhanger. I’m looking forward to finally finding out what happens and getting more of the twists, magic, and romance that I enjoyed so much.

What are three books you want to read before the end of the year?

I’m prioritizing the three books I mentioned in my first answer, so I’m not sure how many other books I’ll have time to finish before the end of the year. However, I’m definitely going to start A Court of Wings and Ruin one of the next few days. If I have any more time, I want to finally read Reign of the Fallen, which has been on my TBR since January. The sequel, Song of the Dead, is also coming out next month so I’d like to able to read it when it’s released. I’ve also mentioned that I’m super obsessed with Friends and I was very excited to find I’ll Be There For You when it was released, and I’ve been waiting very anxiously for the semester to end so I would finally have time to get to it.

Is there a book you think could still shock you and become a favorite of the year?

If these books are anything like the other ones in their series, I definitely think they have the potential to become my favorite. I’m so excited to finish them and find out for sure. I also can’t wait to make my favorites of the year list!

Have you already started making reading plans for 2019?

I’ve started thinking about my goals/plans for next year, and I’m going to dedicate a whole post to them during the 12 Days of Blogmas!

I tag…

Anyone who wants to do this! I’m not sure who’s done it yet and who has time before the end of the year, but if you think this looks fun please go for it and link back to this post so that I can see it 🙂
