Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish and has since been relocated to That Artsy Reader Girl.

So I know it’s a Wednesday, but I didn’t have time to finish writing this list yesterday and I still wanted to post it. It has been quite a while since I’ve done a Top Ten Tuesday post, but I’m trying to get back into doing weekly memes. I also wanted to participate because I love this week’s topic, which is my most anticipated releases of the second half of 2019. Although so many amazing novels already came out this year, there are still more to look forward to. Going through all of these upcoming releases has me feeling incredibly excited and also very impatient, haha. It was super hard to choose just ten, but here are the ones I’m most excited about, in order of release date:

The Girl the Sea Gave Back by Adrienne Young

September 3rd

I absolutely loved Adrienne’s debut novel, Sky in the Deep, and have decided that I want to read everything she puts out in the future. This one sounds like it’s going to have similar vibes but with more magic and I can’t wait!

The Lady Rogue by Jenn Bennett

September 3rd

Jenn is one of my absolute favorite YA contemporary authors, and fantasy is my favorite genre, so since this is her fantasy debut you can pretty much guess that I’m freakin’ excited for it. I love her writing and I can’t wait to see how it adapts to fit this fantastical quest.

Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo

October 1st

This is one of my top two anticipated releases of the year. Leigh is my freakin’ queen and her adult debut sounds absolutely amazing. I may have ordered the Waterstones exclusive edition yesterday, and it may have cost me A LOT, but it was definitely worth it 😉

Into the Crooked Place by Alexandra Christo

October 8th

I’m such a sucker for fantasies about groups of misfits so this sounds like it’s going to be right up my alley. I was lucky enough to snag an ARC of this one at BookCon so hopefully I’ll be reading it in July.

The Beautiful by Renee Ahdieh

October 8th

I honestly haven’t read anything by Renee Ahdieh, but I’ve heard so many wonderful things about her books. Also this one is about vampires and it takes place in New Orleans in the 1800s and that sounds like the perfect combination to me!

Twice in a Blue Moon by Christina Lauren

October 22nd

I recently finished my first Christina Lauren book and I absolutely adored it. From now on, I will be reading everything they write. The synopsis for this one sounds intriguing and I can’t wait to read it.

The Guinevere Deception by Kiersten White

November 5th

Kiersten White is another author whose books are still on my TBR, but I’ve heard amazing things about The Conqueror’s Saga and this series sounds like it’s going to be just as great. It’s a retelling of the King Arthur/Camelot story which sounds so unique and fun!

The Starless Sea by Erin Morgenstern

November 5th

I know so many people consider The Night Circus to be their favorite book, and although I haven’t read it yet (if you couldn’t tell, I’m buried under my TBR, haha), I’m planning on reading it before her new novel comes out in November. The Starless Sea sounds like an extremely intriguing fantasy and I can’t wait to read it.

The Toll by Neal Shusterman

November 5th

Along with Ninth House, this is my other most anticipated release of the year. I can’t tell you how much I freakin’ loved the first two books in this trilogy. Scythe was one of my top three books of 2018 and its sequel, Thunderhead, is probably the best book I’ve read so far in 2019. This series is just so unique, exciting, and thought-provoking and I can’t wait to see how it concludes.

Winterwood by Shea Ernshaw

November 5th

Shea’s debut novel, The Wicked Deep, was most likely the most atmospheric book I’ve read in a long time and I absolutely loved it overall. This one sounds equally intriguing. Also, her novels get the most gorgeous covers!

Let’s chat!
